CIRCULAR ECONOMY CONCEPT

A Proof of Concept model demonstrates the interdependence between people and their environment and how the development of a circular economy can impact energy use and the environment. The concept model is a discussion boundary object for transdisciplinary research and requirements development.

The aim is to consider several aspects that contribute to a thriving community in their environment. Initial elements addressed include a diverse set of drivers: energy requirements, jobs, tourism, supply lines, and the impact of waste on water resources and the land (landfill). Carbon mitigation and climate change ‘impact’ will be added as discussions continue.
